My first professional photography job out of college was for a company that made wedding invitations and holiday cards. Day after day I photographed printed cards, learning how to light subtle features like embossing and reflective foils. I discovered that sometimes the things that look like they’ll be easy to photograph are actually the most difficult. The work was surprisingly challenging, and it was an incredible foundation for developing the lighting skills I have today.
The memories came rushing back when Mary from Printerette Press brought me her cards to photograph. Printerette Press is a local letterpress shop that produces beautifully designed stationery and custom wedding invitations. As part of a website re-design, we created fresh new photography of her products, along with some fun header images.
